$14K in Revenue From a Single Email to 2,400 Subscribers

Built the first email marketing strategy and infrastructure for a research-backed skincare brand, delivering the campaigns that established email as a revenue channel.

Introduction

DermaMedics is a skincare company founded by Dr. Bryan Fuller based on his 30+ years of skin biochemistry research. The company manufactures silicone-based serums designed for sensitive skin. DermaMedics sells direct-to-consumer through Shopify.

After working with two marketing agencies that didn't deliver, DermaMedics came to me with a straightforward goal: increase sales. They were operating without a clear email strategy, sending sporadic campaigns without a clear plan or understanding of what worked. DermaMedics needed a partner who understood both their brand and the skincare industry, and who could build an email strategy that would increase revenue. Over four months, I rebuilt the email channel from the ground up: segmented their list, established a consistent send cadence, and developed a content mix of education, product information, and engagement that kept their audience opening and buying. The proof came on Black Friday, when a single campaign generated $14,625 in revenue from a list of under 2,400 subscribers, accounting for 41% of the entire month's sales. The full holiday season delivered over $30,000 in email-attributed revenue. The campaign also drove a $215 average order value, well above the skincare industry norm, a direct result of an offer designed to encourage larger orders. An Easter campaign generated $17,952 in revenue from 111 orders, demonstrating that email had become a consistent revenue driver the brand could rely on throughout the year.

Let's Work together

“During the first month of working with Jessica she produced more, and higher quality work than the last agency did in 6 months. She has a wonderfully warm personality and we consider her part of our company family. We are looking forward to having Jessica work with us indefinitely. She is a terrific asset and I highly recommend her.”
